For this project, we took the existing front yard landscaping and backyard
patio and landscaping to the next level! In the front yard, we added
additional landscaping to fill in and elevate the existing look. Along the side
of the house, we added a long bed to connect the front yard to the new
backyard enclosed patio and seating area. We added mortared stone edging
with boulders to frame each landscaping bed along with new premium cedar
mulch for a finished look, moisture retention, and weed protection.
In the backyard, we took the existing patio from a basic seating area (see
before photos) to patio perfection! The homeowners were looking for privacy
on their back porch since their neighborhood features open fencing. To
provide the most privacy as possible we built an enclosed patio made of
brick to match their existing house. They now have a private space with an
outdoor kitchen, seating area, and TV cabinet. The stained concrete flooring,
granite countertops with grill insets, wood panel ceiling, brick walls, and
cedar shutters all combine provide a rustic, high-end outdoor living area for
the couple to enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
To create a finished look and extend the outdoor living area, we extended
the stained concrete patio along the backside of the house and added more
landscaping with stone edging. We’re happy the couple now has a private
space to enjoy their retirement years!
