An outdoor space should be a place to watch games, cook, spend time with family and friends – and most importantly, relax! This retired couple had always wanted a space to host friends and family and to unwind in their free time. Our designers took their outdoor living area and expanded it into a one-of-a-kind entertainment space.
Since the homeowners love to entertain, we extended their brushed concrete patio and built a custom cedar pergola to accommodate a large seating area, outdoor fireplace with a TV and firewood storage along with an outdoor kitchen with bar seating. The pergola features a polycarbonate top to protect the area from rain yet still allow sunlight to shine through. Fans were added to increase airflow. The patio extends beyond the pergola to incorporate an additional seating area around the new custom fire pit in order to have multiple areas to relax and host larger groups.
We matched the brick of their house and complemented it by adding natural stone into the custom-built fire pit, fireplace, and outdoor kitchen. In the yard, we made sprinkler & drainage modifications and added landscaping to soften the most viewable corner of the yard. To maximize the outdoor space for the retirees to enjoy some fun at home during their downtime, we also added a large artificial turf putting green. The wonderful couple can now enjoy year-round relaxation in the personal outdoor oasis they had been dreaming of!
